The African Institute for Remittances (AIR) in collaboration with the African Diaspora organizations in Europe is organizing a consultative forum with Diaspora communities on 15th – 16th May, 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The overall objective of the Forum is to identify the main factors that impede the reduction of cost of sending remittances to and within Africa, ways of overcoming those challenges, including role of governments, regulatory authorities, the remittance service providers, private sector, remittance senders and diaspora.
Participants will include representatives from diaspora organizations in Europe, diaspora community, private sector involved in remittance market, academia, AU Member States, partners and other stakeholders.
